well my back is feeling better, but I'm locked into a twice a week regiment at the chiropractor until my spine is aligned. Shouldn't take too long. My superpowers will aid in the process, until I have returned to my catlike agility.

This morning I leave for manitoba. I'm not looking forward to the drive, but I am looking forward to mom's christmas baking. I wish I could just snap my fingers and we were there, but as it turns out it'll be four or five hours on the road before I hit portage, where I'm stopping at my sisters place... and then another two hours to my parents.

It's amazing..... as a rule, I HATE Christmas, dread christmas. But this year I've been looking forward to it, if only because I get to take time off and hang out for five days without responsibility. My stepsister Jack and her husband are already at mom's waiting for me, and I can't wait to hang out with her and Chifunda. Can't wait to play that PS2 with loved ones..... nothing like blowing up siblings with grenade launchers.

I know I haven't been updating, but between resting my back, working and sleeping, I've been getting artsy with the house. We rearranged some stuff, and I've been working at painting a number of items..... you know, add a personal touch to an otherwise interior-design-challenged house. I've got a couple of vintage lamps and a giant oriental fan on the go right now, and already the place looks better. After christas I plan to put together some frames with the brazilian wood scraps from work and we can start putting up pictures of the kids.... that is.... abu and chiku.

Now I have to get going..... but I'll be back. Long drive ahead..... and still got stuff to do.
